Let's dissect the dentist-recommended way of brushing your teeth. It's easy, efficient, and can significantly improve your oral health.
Begin with a soft-bristled toothbrush. A lot of individuals believe hard bristles will clean better, but they actually hurt your gums and enamel. Manual or electric, select a brush with a good grip and a small head that can cover all parts of your mouth.
Fluoride prevents your teeth from decaying. Always read the label to ensure your toothpaste has it. And don't forget—a pea-sized amount is all you need. More is not better.
Most individuals brush for only 30–60 seconds. That's not sufficient. Dentists advice brushing for two full minutes, twice daily—morning and evening. Use a timer or your favourite song to keep you on track.
Place your toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to your gums. Use gentle, circular strokes—not abrasive back-and-forth scrubbing. Be sure to clean:
